Nicole and Chet chose Mexico for their January 2010 wedding, a choice we truly appreciated, especially because they live in Minnesota. How much different would their album have looked if they decided against a destination wedding!?We ren dez vous-ed at the all-inclusive Barcelo la Jolla de Mismaloya in Puerto Vallarta and spent several days getting to know their friends and family from all over the U.S.
All of us taking a break from winter weather, spending the days leading up to the wedding doing adventure sports and laying by the pool.
The intimate ceremony was held on the beach directly in front of the resort. Just under 30 guests joined the couple and we couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic group.
The party lasted well into the night and we all took advantage of the resort’s constantly open bar (Maragaritas don’t get old as fast when they’re made with Casadores)
Notice that the album begins with the traditional sentimental moments and progresses to include some not-so-traditional personality and grit. True sports, they climbed in trees, sat in dirt, jumped in the pool and braved rip currents in the ocean waves.
We had such a blast that we made a studio sample for ourselves before we even met with Nicole and Chet to choose their favorite images.
For their album Nicole & Chet decided on Galleria with an acrylic cover (left side of the first spread) in the 13×10 size. The album is a perfect showcase of their unforgettable wedding and helped us win album designer of the year in 2010.
If you’re ever in the neighborhood of Marshall, Minnesota. Stop by Lockwood Motors and ask Chet how much fun he had with his wedding photographers.
